Below are some of the very lovely Shelties that have graced our lives, hope you enjoy looking at them we sure do! I spent more than 10 years working on developing the type and movement and temperament in the breed I love, and I was almost there when I discovered that my foundation was hiding a rather unpleasant gene. I suffered through the problem and came to the conclusion that I am just not tough enough to deal with the health problems in this breed. I have been called a coward, and I guess I am but one can just cry so much. While I will always love the breed and probably always have at least one, I'll leave the breeding to others. And I will always applaud those breeders that are honest and deal with others openly and with understanding and kindness, I will deal with my problem by sharing the information I learned though my trials, I don't believe in witch hunts or throwing away what others have worked to achieve, but the problems will never be overcome without honesty and understanding. Some day there will be DNA tests to prevent the heartbreak. Maybe then I might think about getting back into breeding this awesome breed. Until then if you are looking for a wonderful smart dog contact me and I'll send you to some really great breeders that understand about genetics and honesty. | Preston and Cuba are currently working the rings in obedience, rally, agility. Cuba is teaching my grand kid what he knows about the Juniors ring. He is doing an awesome job! Preston is trying to make me feel comfortable again in the performance ring, someday it just might happen. |
| This is Gordon's spot. Someday I might actually get a picture to go with it! |
